With fantastic employee support across offices worldwide, Euromoney raised £250,000 to fund a children’s eye centre in Orissa, one of the poorest states in India. This support has brought eye care to extremely poor rural communities that had never before had access to any kind of eye care.

Euromoney chose to support Orbis in 2006 because, as an international publisher, it wanted to support an organisation that enabled people in to see, and therefore, to read.
The partnership has continued since 2006, and in 2014, a new joint initiative was established between Orbis and Amref Health Africa to eliminate the infectious eye disease trachoma in southern Ethiopia.
The project was conceived through Euromoney’s vision and support, combining the strengths of two NGOs. Both organisations had previously worked with Euromoney on different projects, but the company provided the opportunity for them to collaborate, both in programme development and fundraising.
